01 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age (or 16 years of age if you are located in the European Union/EEA) to use SkyLive. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

02 Account Registration

2.1 Creating an Account

SkyLive requires you to create an account to access its features. You may sign in using Google or Apple authentication. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and up-to-date information during registration (including any optional amateur radio callsign).
• Maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• All activity that occurs under your account.

2.2 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, is harmful to other users, the App, or third parties.

03 Permitted Use

SkyLive is provided for personal, non-commercial use for the purpose of satellite tracking, orbital observation, pass prediction, and amateur radio Doppler calculation. You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

You may not:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise derive the source code of the App.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access, scrape, or interact with the App or its services.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App or its servers.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or network associated with SkyLive.
• Upload, transmit, or distribute any malware, viruses, or any code of a destructive nature.
• Use the App in a manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the App's infrastructure.
• Misrepresent your identity, including providing false amateur radio callsign information.

04 Orbital Data & Accuracy Disclaimer

4.1 Nature of TLE Data

SkyLive uses Two-Line Element (TLE) orbital data sourced from publicly available repositories including CelesTrak and Space-Track. TLE data has inherent accuracy limitations:

• TLE accuracy degrades over time; older TLEs produce less accurate position predictions.
• The App automatically synchronizes TLE data on a configurable schedule to minimize prediction errors.
• Satellite operators may maneuver satellites without notice, affecting accuracy.

4.2 No Warranty on Accuracy

DO NOT use SkyLive's predictions for:

• Safety-critical applications.
• Navigation or aerospace operations.
• Any purpose where inaccurate data could result in property damage, personal injury, or loss of life.

4.3 Amateur Radio Use

If you use the App for amateur radio Doppler shift calculations and frequency planning, you are solely responsible for complying with all applicable telecommunications regulations in your jurisdiction, including any license requirements. The App does not transmit radio signals.

05 Subscriptions & Payments

5.1 Free Tier

The free version of SkyLive provides access to a curated selection of satellites, limited to 1 pass notification per day and 1 transmitter frequency display. Free tier satellites are selected by us and may change at any time.

5.2 SkyLive Pro Subscription

SkyLive Pro is a paid subscription that unlocks access to the full satellite catalog, unlimited pass notifications, and all advanced features. By subscribing, you agree to:

• Pay the applicable subscription fee as displayed in the App at the time of purchase.
• Authorize recurring billing until you cancel.

5.3 Billing and Renewal

Subscriptions are managed and billed by:

• Apple (if purchased on iOS via the App Store)
• Google (if purchased on Android via the Play Store)

Subscription fees are charged to your linked payment method at the start of each billing period. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

5.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your SkyLive Pro subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer partial refunds for unused portions of a subscription period, except as required by applicable law or Apple/Google policy.

5.5 Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies. We do not process refunds directly. Please contact Apple Support or Google Play Support for refund inquiries.

5.6 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices with reasonable advance notice. Continued use of SkyLive Pro after a price change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the new price.

5.7 Free Trials

If we offer a free trial, it will be disclosed at the time of subscription. After the free trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial period expires.

06 Location & Permissions

The App requires access to your device's location (GPS) to calculate satellite passes over your geographic position. You may also optionally enable Continuous GPS Tracking for real-time observer coordinate synchronization. You can revoke location permission at any time via your device's Settings. Revoking location permission will disable location-dependent features such as pass prediction and the AR Sky View.

The App may also request access to your camera (for the AR Sky View feature) and notifications (for pass alerts). These are optional and can be disabled at any time.

07 Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Intellectual Property

SkyLive and all its content, features, functionality, design, graphics, and underlying software (including the SGP4 orbital propagator integration) are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App without our express written permission.

7.2 Open Source Components

The App incorporates open-source software components, which are subject to their respective open-source licenses. A list of open-source dependencies is available in the App's source repository.

7.3 TLE Data

TLE data is sourced from public domain sources and is not owned by us. Your use of TLE data is subject to the terms of the originating data providers (e.g., CelesTrak, Space-Track.org).

08 Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review the Privacy Policy carefully to understand our data practices.

09 Third-Party Services

SkyLive integrates third-party services including:

• Firebase (Google LLC) — Authentication, database, analytics, crash reporting
• RevenueCat — Subscription management
• Google Sign-In / Sign in with Apple — Authentication

Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.

10 Disclaimer of Warranties

We do not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
• The orbital predictions, pass times, or frequency calculations will be accurate or complete.
• Any errors or defects will be corrected.

11 Limitation of Liability

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
• Damages arising from your reliance on orbital predictions, pass predictions, or any other data provided by the App.
• Damages arising from unauthorized access to or alteration of your data.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for SkyLive Pro in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD $10.00, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

12 Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SkyLive and its developers, officers, agents, and employees from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:

• Your use of the App in violation of these Terms.
• Your violation of any applicable law, regulation, or the rights of any third party.
• Any content or information you submit to the App (including your amateur radio callsign).

13 Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, all licenses granted to you will cease immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 10–14) shall survive.

14 Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the App shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction in the applicable territory, as required by law.

15 Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, through in-app notifications or email. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, stop using the App and cancel any active subscriptions.
